Just Waiting
I have not installed the main board as of this time. The washer still work as long as you go thru the reset cycle. Once it does-not reset, out it comes. appear to be easy to install. I figure it will take me about one hour or less.

A few tips make this a 1 hr job
Here are a few tips: 1. The top slides back an inch or so then lifts off. Don't try to pry it up first. 2, Push in the blue cable holds before you start. This creates slack so the cables are easier to handle at the board. 3. Take a photo of the wires on the old board before you remove the connectors to see the routing of wires. The connectors all have a catch that needs to be pressed in from the outside in to remove. Use pointy nosed pliers to compress the catch in the middle. The connector is easy to remove if this is pressed correctly. Don't force it. 4. Take the silver access panel off of the back to be able to easily reach in to replace the cable holds and pick up anything you dropped.

Repairing more junk made in China
This was as easy as it gets. All I needed was the model number of the washer and Sears website made it painless. You can even get installation instructions if you need them. Way easier than dealing with a repair company.

Replacing the main control board on and LG washer
The part was easy to install. I found a You Tube video that showed how to remove the top from the washer and install the part. The hardest part was the tight space I have to work with.

Never worked on a washer and I did it!
I use my phone and take pictures before I remove old part and any other areas I have to take apart. Easy and I have no experience! My only complaint is this should not be going bad on a washer this old!
