Incompatible Part for LG LFX31925SW Refrigerator
February 19, 2019

While changing my LG LFX31925 SW refrigerator deli drawer cover (part # ACQ85448401), I discovered the builtin latches to hold the 3 covers (see photo of original) were missing on the replacement part from Sears. Gluing the piece that broke off back on to the deli tray cover would just look terrible. I think I have a couple of choices at this point: 1 - use silicon to glue the 3 covers in, 2- Go without the covers that come up from the bottom. Or 3, find the correct part if they exist anymore. Well there is also a 4th option. I actually only destroyed the plastic cover overhanging the deli tray itself when a jar fell on it since it sticks out past the vegetable drawers. I removed this piece from the old drawer cover with a straight slot screwdriver prying along the top of the piece. I slightly damaged the original plastic deli cover along the edge when I pried the piece off. I should have used wide nylon automotive interior prying tools to remove this part from the old deli drawer. I could possibly smooth out the pry damage to the old plastic cover with a razor blade and just use the clear cover from the new piece but that's not what I paid for.

Much easier than I had anticipated

I was unable to determine how involved it was to change out, however once I got into the job it was exceptionally easy. Only down side was there wasn't any thing to put the plastic panels back in and no information as to whether they were needed any longer. I did a make shift fix and put the panels back in.
