We installed ourselves. Did not take long at all. We unhooked the old glass. One set of wires (on left side)was to tight to stand the old top up on stove. Removed plastic tabs holding it in place and took off top back panel on stove, there was enough wire to push through so we could stand up old glass top. Unplugged the color coded wires and ground wire. Put a blanket on top of stove panel where our clock and buttons are to prevent scratching (we had to lean assembly on blanket) Unscrewed the screws on each side that was holding the metal plate on. Unscrewed the two nuts that held assembly to old glass top. Took assembly of stove top out, removed old glass top and put new glass top in place. Put back together. Two people needed. One to hold, the other to disassemble. I believe there was one wire that was not able to be disconnected, so we worked right on the range itself. Some other models you can disconnect all wires and work on a tabletop. Not with this one.
