Do your research on replacement parts

Would be nice for sears to indicate that this part won't work on my model of refrigerator despite it saying so in the search. Upon research on other sites, I discovered that the original part was discontinued from the mfg and the new "replacement" doesn't work on older models. Thanks for making me waste 20 bucks
