Fixed my broken washing machine
October 26, 2020|notexactlymrfixit, Northern Delaware

I was able to access the repair location from a combination of the lower front and rear access panel of the washing machine. I ended up replacing the control board without removing the motor.

Easy to do yourself.
May 23, 2018|Try163, Undisclosed

So, this part first went bad in January. It's time taking it out it took about 45 minutes as you read instructions and make sure you are doing the right thing. I pulled the board out and found a capacitor had come loose from the circuit board. I soldered back, replaced board and worked again for a couple months. Ultimately this happened three more times and I now believe the capacitor was simply going bad and was getting so hot it was loosening the solder joints each time, then finally burned itself out. So I ordered the new board, and it took about 15 minutes to put it in as I already had the machine apart. Buttoned it back up and good to go. By the way, my machine is 11 and 1/2 Year's old. Not complaining to much, but there is just never a convenient time for your washer to go down

Washer Control Board
April 17, 2018|A R G, Gilbertsville,PA

It took about 30 minutes to remove and install this board as this was the second time I have done it. It stopped the intermittent beeping sound with the wash cycles operating normally. Follow the diagnostics for your washer to be sure the problem is not with the motor speed controller board (found mine to be faulty) as my main problem was a failure to drain and spin.

New washer motor control board fixed problem
July 24, 2019|AZDon, Arizona

Washing machine did not want to fill with water. Did all the testing and pointed to needing a new control board. This new board did fix the problem. The kit included a new bracket to hold the board to the washing machine frame, but only included one of the two screws needed allow the "L" bracket to work. The original board was just clipped into the frame so this bracket is a definite improvement. I did have another screw in my shop to match the one provided so was able to complete the install. A little DIY warning not related to the actual board purchased is to be careful working inside the washing machine. The opening in the back of the washing machine has a rolled edge where the access panel is attached. That is good so you are not cut immediately by resting your arm on the rolled edge. The manufacturer did not see a need to take this rolled edge to all the way back to the frame so that original sharp edge before rolling can still cut if you slide your hand around trying to get the original board out from around the motor.
