EAsy to install & cheaper than last repair bill
Took about 45 minutes to install because hubby wasn't super careful disassembling. But it fixed the blinking lights & beeping randomly. We had the same part replaced about 9 months ago & they only offered a 60 day warranty :( and charged three times as much

Wrong control board, printed circuit
The control board, printed circuit appears to be the wrong board. Looks identical to the other but it was missing one plug. Unable to make the replacement. I need the correct board. My advice to DIYers would be to pull the part out first and be sure it's comparable. Just going to the sears parts direct page and entering the model number in the 'is the part compatible' then clicking on the box to see if the part is comparable to your model seems to have not been enough.

Repair Succeeded. Missing Parts and Instructions.
I bought this part after a long Chat with the SearsPartsDirect rep. The error code provided by the machine didn't match any code in the Sears documentation. So I made the purchase after being reassured that I could return the part for a full refund if it didn't solve the problem. When I received the part, four pieces were missing. Fortunately I was able to scrounge these by disassembling the old part. No instructions or drawings were provided, so I was careful to take pictures and preserve all the old parts and fasteners during disassembly. Fortunately the reassembly went smoothly, and the repair appears to be successful.

Will never buy OEM again
Bought OEM thinking it was better than a remanufactured part. Well OEM was not the right choice. DEFECTIVE. Chat representative from another country or a foreigner. DIFFICULT. Unsure where I stand on this.
