Part Information

Garbage disposal (part number 587-70351E) is a complete 3/4-HP continuous feed garbage disposal.

The grind chamber and grind element are made of stainless steel. Induction motor is quieter than common permanent magnet motors. Mounting assembly made of galvanized steel, sink flange of stainless steel. Self-service wrenchette is included for easy clearing of jams.

Not a drop-in replacement for earlier Kenmores

Purchased this to replace an older Kenmore. Slightly different form factor than previous. Hose and drain connections not in same locations, so I was not able to use existing plumbing. New plumbing was required. Wiring the electrical ground was challenging as the grounding screw was very close to a wall and it was difficult to feed the wire around the terminal. Once installed, the unit is functioning satisfactorily.
