Very easy to I install. It takes just a moment to fit the release mechanism into the new part and then four screws to tighten the part to the saw.

12" sliding compound miter saw not locking
The two pieces I purchased to repair my 12" sliding compound miter saw so I could tighten the holding bolt to keep it in place was easy to install both pieces in a very short time and had it back in service. 5 minutes tops.
