Takes about 5 minutes to replace
Quite simple for most DIYers. First, roll out your refrigerator and UNPLUG IT. Good time to clean that dust while you're back there. Second, look under the water dispenser area. There are 3 small holes just under the dispenser control board. Use a small Allen or Phillips wrench to press into one of the end holes as you SLOWLY pull the old dispenser control board out. When it starts to give, move the Allen wrench to the middle hole and pull until the board is out. There are 3 white electrical connectors holding it to the refrigerator. Unplug each one. The old control board is now off. Install the new control board by plugging in the connectors to the replacement control board the same way they came off of the old one. Put the control board up to the opening and push it straight into the refrigerator. It will click into place. Plug the refrigerator back into the outlet and roll it back into place.
