The knob fit and works well. This updated model is lighter material and I think not as high quality as the older model which I bought which was heavier with a more substantial feel.

Substitute Part Did Not Fit
I was looking for a replacement cooktop burner KNOB for my Samsung range. The original part number was "substituted by the manufacturer...and is the functional equivalent" to the original part. WRONG. The new part is polished chrome in appearance whereas the original is brushed nickel/stainless (online is it pictured as brushed stainless) AND the stem is shorter, so it protrudes farther from the body of the range. The is NOT GOING TO WORK. MUST RETURN and start all over again on the hunt for a new knob.
