Mower deck replacement
Everything was as expected. It came with everything that you would need and only had to take the guide wheels off the original deck. It did require a minor amount of adjustment to the connecting arms, but that is to be expected.

How to keep an old mower cutting like new
The 42" deck assembly for my 20+ year old Craftsman mower was about 90% complete and ready to install. The deck does not come with the anti-scalping wheels or their mounting brackets so they must be moved over from you old deck or purchased separately. Belt and even blades ARE included, as is a new deflector and spring mount. Getting the spring assembly mounted to the deck was the hardest part of the job. Youtube had a video which finally explained to me how to do it. Moving the wheels and brackets was also somewhat time consuming

Should have got this years ago. This machine is 25 years old and have had a few used and "rebuilt " and have never had this good of a cut.

1993 Craftsman mower deck
Read up on the deck. It probably won't fit as it comes. Compare it with the your old deck and move parts from one to other as required. I went over it with a 18 yr. old and gave him the job and he competed it in less 2 hrs. Works just fine.
