The part was DOA
Unfortunately the part did not work. I appears new and unused, however after the part was installed in the heater's control module, the power LED did not turn on, and the part appeared DOA.

Water heater electronic control board replacement
My water heater control overheated and did major damage to the panel. The control board was completely destroyed and needed to be replaced. Sears parts direct had it in stock along with the cover, and with the ease of ordering, I had the parts in a short time. I am very satisfied with the service.
