Part arrived damaged, appeared to be old part

I received the part late last week and opened it yesterday to install it. The part appeared to have been used and was severely damaged - namely one of 2 ribbon cables was missing. It appeared it had been torn out of it's socket and was nowhere to be found. I will be calling to attempt to get this part replaced with a new, I damaged one. Its pretty obvious the panel that I just received had been used and the ribbon cable torn out by someone before it was returned to Sears. Needless to say, this is worthless.

The is the panel I removed from my dishwasher. Note the white ribbon cable at the bottom. 'This one is missing from the part I just received from Sears. Without the cable the panel is worthless.

our dishwasher is 9-10 years, when stop working with a flashing light, after following the trouble shooting on the instructions attached to the skirt i found was a stuck key on the control panel of the ribbon connection. Order the part, was a easy connection, and start working again.
