This safety key assembly (part number 208603) is for treadmills.
Safety key assembly 208603 attaches to the console on one end and clips to your clothing on the other end. If the key detaches from the treadmill while the treadmill is in use, the treadmill stops. Always clip the key lanyard to your clothing when using the treadmill.

Terrible
The part I received was dirty, grimy, nasty, oily, and disgusting, I tried to return it but I could never get a live representative and the online information was no help and not user friendly. I finally washed it in bleach....zero stars

Works conditionally, but better than nothing
While sold as the Safety Key for treadmills sold at Sears, it is not exactly the right shape. Which means that you have to tape the string to the machine for it to work. It would have been nice to be the right shape, but at least it dose work. Needs a lightly holding tape, so that if you fall, it will shut off the machine. Considering how difficult it was to find this part, I guess it is better than nothing!

They kept at it
The equipment I ordered was unavailable from the manufacturer. After 5 months I gave up. Sears notified me the items had just become available again and sent it to me, along with a back-up

Fast and Easy Service
I've had my treadmill for about 15 to 20 years. I was surprised to find that they still carried the parts for this model. I ordered the part and it arrived about 2 weeks later. Attached it to my treadmill and now my treadmill works. Thanks Sears.
