Steers like a new lawn tractor
My old lawn tractor steering seized. Got on Sears Parts Direct and referenced my model number and their parts diagram (I have to do this a couple times a summer to keep this old mower running) and this steering gear and assembly plate fit like a glove. Without Sears Parts Direct this old mower would have been hauled to the junk yard years ago.

Quick part shipping, perfect fit
Ordered several parts for mower. Paid the extra for expedited shipping and received the parts the next morning at 10:30. Worth every penny. Parts where correct and fit well. Though the mounting required new bolts as the new unit wasn't threaded, but might be to accommodate multiple units so not a big deal.

Steering for Lawn Tractor was tight
Taking out the old Lawn Tractor Steering was longer that I expected. I guess with safety built in not tractor should loos control to their steering shaft. That required pulling the battery and steering column and deck. Installing the new Lawn Tractor steering was easier that removing it.

Steering assembly for LT2000.
Install was easy. Rwhile not 100% required, removing mower deck made it easier-plus gave me a chance to sharpen blades. I reused the original self-tapping bolts. Part description needs to state "requires self-tapping bolts."

Main steering assembly for Craftsman riding mower
The part worked great once installed and steers beautifully. The main problem we had with assembly is that the part wasn't predrilled and could not be installed until it was. It would have been nice to know that in advance.
