Sears TOTAL FAIL on delivering a quality product

Ordered a new top for my 6 year old Maytag washer because it is rusting out (a separate issue). The new top was delivered in an oversized cardboard box with absolutely no other packaging. So, it had no protection (e.g., bubble wrap) and was in a container that allowed it to bounce around. Upon opening the package, I found that the finish was flawed (not due to shipping abuse, but just poor workmanship) and it was in an obvious location. If there was any sort of Quality inspection before shipping, this unit would have never been sent to me. The flaw was just that big and that obvious. Customer support was friendly, but offered very little other than reshipping the part. They did send a note along with the order to the shipping department requesting that they "inspect the part and double wrap it". So, I guess that is something.
