Air filter 32-083-09-S cleans the air entering the carburetor. Pre-filter part number 32-083-10-S isn't included; order separately. Replace the air filter periodically, following the guidelines in the owner's manual.
Let the engine cool before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Everything went well with the air filter...but I did not know it did not come with the foam pre cleaner. The sales person did not inform me of this. I will now have to order the pre-cleaner.

Poor customer service.
The part was ok, but I was also supposed to have a foam ring to go around the outside. The Sears rep I spoke to when ordering the part should have told me. Also, I ordered a new riding lawnmower blade. I was supposed to get 3, the rep didn't tell me that, either. Nor did the manual. I'm VERY disappointed.
