The male threads on one side came slightly damaged and the braided water line would not twist on without cross threading.

Bypass Valve
Easy to install, took a couple of hours. Did learn from local hardware store to use plumbers grease to grease O rings. Products suggested in instructions will deteriorate O rings over time.

Never received instructions
The bypass valve was not easy to install, and it has not been installed, because the promised instructions were never sent. Also missing were the retaining clips.
