Easy to install, you only need a Phillips screw driver for my application, some light knowledge of assembly is needed, especially when removing connectors from the circuit card

Some technical knowledge required

Took a bit of researching to confirm this as the replacement part for my 10 year old stove. It looks a little different, and has a new part number. But after making SURE it was the correct part, ordering was super easy. It arrived much faster than expected. Everything from my old one looked like it would plug right in to all the same places on the new one. But I took a 'before' picture just in case. Glad I did, because it wasn't as straight forward as I thought. Some of the connectors are upside down, and the cables needed to be inverted. They weren't very easy to make go that way. Then upon powering up, my right front burner was on full blast. Good thing I had a wiring diagram, because several of the connectors for the front burners were moved around from the original configuration. A quick comparison, and I figured out where they needed to go. After all is said and done, it works flawlessly now, and the newer upgraded control board even has a few new fancy features the old one did not. Mostly in the display. Overall I'm very happy with getting my stove back online and not having to pay hundreds of $$ for repairs or a new stove.

Connectors and placement on the PCB were different

Although the PCB looked almost exactly identical to the original PCB from a quick look, some of the connectors were different from the original, which means the connectors from the oven/range could not be plugged in without modifying them. Some of the connectors were inverted (not a problem really, as long as the connector size remained the same). The placement of some of the connectors on the PCB changed and due to this change, there was not enough cabling in the oven/range to reach the various connectors.
