Easy installed after watch a couple videos.
Although there are many videos available describing the installation, a couple lines of instructions included with the part about the secret timer knob release and the mounting tab release under the timer would be most helpful.

Kenmore wash machine timer control.
Worst experience with online parts order ever! Got a used broken part. Poorly packaged. Called to get another an return this one and was assured it would be immediately taken care of. Nothing ever happened. Want my money back so I can go to other appliance part suppliers. The wash machine has been unusable for a month!

Failed
Had trouble with the gentle cycle only which added rinse water at the end of the spin cycle making clothes sopping wet. Thought it might be the timer so I ordered a new timer from your sears repair parts site. Took four hours total not knowing how to get the console panel off so I could replace the timer. Timer was easy to replace once I got to it. However, no cycles worked after the new timer was installed. Eventuality got some cycles to work, but the gentle cycle does not engage the agitator now. The timer moves through the cycle. It fills, does NOT agitate, drains and then spins, and adds rinse water at the end of the cycle for about 5 seconds. It works worse now than with the old timer. Gave up on it and spent top dollar today on a high quality brand top loader. This Kenmore was fairly inexpensive and rated a good buy with Consumer Reports years ago, however the transmission leaked oil and had to be replaced just still under the one year warranty, however it seems to be leaking oil underneath again. It's between 5-10 years old. No more Kenmore appliances for this household!
