Definitely doable even for an old lady!
I used a flat spatula to clean between counter and glass to remove sticky residue that had accumulated through use. Flipped breakers but did undo wiring. Used some of the packing cardboard as chock blocks to access the 12 screws. A 2nd person was useful to remove and replace the unit.

Kitchen aid ceramic stove top WHITE
It was very easy to install. To bad you no longer make a white top. I chose this product specifically because it would last along time and be supported. That is not the case.

broken cooktop
unfortunately this glass replacement top was not marked "fragile" or to be handled carefully and was all broken inside of the sealed box; very disappointing.
