Replacing both inlet valves takes about 20 minutes of work on the machine itself. Two screws hold the top cover on (slide it back and lift off), and each valve is held by two screws. A total of five small hoses are held by spring clamps. The wiring connections are spade-type slip-ons, no tool required. It was so quick and easy that I went looking for more...found a very clogged (by wet dryer lint/felt) vent/breather between the tub top and machine back...while the valve is out of the way you might want to inspect and clean yours, too...
