Easy to Install

The Refrigerator door gasket was very easy to install. My husband did watch a youtube video showing how first. It went very smoothly and did not take too much time either. We did use our heat gun to warm up the gasket to make it more pliable where the kinks were from the packaging. The kinks disappeared fairly quickly too. We did tape cardboard over the refrigeration area to keep everything cold after we took off the door. Also the door was laid on a table to give it a good cleaning in the crevices after the old gasket was off. And it made it so much easier installing the new gasket while the door was lying down. We have a Maytag and we were so glad that we could locate OEM gasket at a much lower price that many other sellers. Shipping was fairly quick too. After the door was put back on, it was amazing how tight the seal is. No more water on the bottom front ledge inside of fridge due to leakage from bad gasket. Now maybe some of the more sensitive food won't be freezing and lettuce going bad quickly. With new gasket, I notice how more drier the cold air in fridge and that in itself will keep food much longer; kind of like a commercial walk in cooler where it is dry cold. We are well pleased with this purchase and ease of installation. Hope this helps making a decision.
