How to maintain your Aprilaire humidifier
- Disconnect electrical power to the furnace and humidifier.
- Shut off the humidifier water supply.
- Disconnect the water supply line.
- Remove the strainer from the inlet water fitting. Flush the strainer to remove residue or replace the strainer with a new one.
- Clean the orifice at the outlet of the solenoid water valve.
- Reassemble the humidifier. Turn on the water supply and restore electrical power.
Common replacement parts for Aprilaire humidifiers
- In-line water strainer. The in-line water strainer traps impurities from the water supply.
- Water supply orifice. The water supply orifice controls water volume going to the water panel.
- Solenoid water valve. The solenoid water valve supplies the water to the water panel as needed.
