Installing the blade on your Porter reciprocating saw

Unplug the power cord or remove the battery from the saw. Wear work gloves to protect your hands while installing the blade.
Extend the adjustable/pivoting shoe away from the blade clamp.
Push the blade clamp lever up with your thumb and hold it up.
Insert the blade into the blade clamp and make sure the blade attaches to the blade nub inside the clamp.
Release the blade clamp lever to lock the blade in place. Pull on the blade to make sure it's securely locked in place.

How to remove the blade on your Porter reciprocating saw

Unplug the power cord or remove the battery from the saw. Wear work gloves to protect your hands while installing the blade.
Allow the blade to cool if it's still hot from cutting a workpiece.
Extend the adjustable/pivoting shoe away from the blade clamp.
Push the blade clamp lever up with your thumb and hold it.
Carefully pull the blade out of the blade clamp then release the clamp lever.
