Perfect fit
My mower is old, I was worried I could not get parts for it, however Sears had exactly what I needed. Only problem was 2 mounting holes were not tapped with threads, I used self tapping bolts which solved the problem. Sad to see in news last Sears store is closing.

3rd one for this mower
They are made out of a soft aluminum so they seem to break easily , they install easy luckily and a lot cheaper then buying a new tractor.

Perfect match
Everything was simple and having the right transaxle made it that way. There was no label on the unit or box stating if it was dry or had oil in it. I called and was told from your parts direct that it was empty when in fact it had oil in it nobody would build something like that and leave it dry it would have rusted.

easy bolt in installation
This was an easy swap for my Craftsman tractor; remove both rear wheels; remove rear panel (4 bolts); and remove 6 bolts holding the transaxle in place and it falls right out. replace in reverse order. I am 64 years old and have a basic tool set. I completed this swap in under 1-1/2 hours, start to finish by myself.

Wrong part.
Clearly not a substitute for original equipment as axle was 4 inches shorter. Who comes up with this??
