Part has been redesigned
The photo says it all. The old part has a groove for the top slider where the new part has a tab in the same location- much stronger than the old part which broke and likely the reason it was changed. The top slider and nozzle holder should ship as a unit.

Very difficult or even impossible to replace
Reason being there's an inverted molded guide which might not go with your existing 'handle retention clip' as both have the same molded guide, meaning there's no carved-in guides. I had to use a carpet knife to carve the guide out from the nozzle holder. Luckily the material is a bit soft and I could do it. Remedy could be to order both 'nozzle holder' (part no. KC76PDPTZV06) and 'handle retention clip' (part no. KC66BDPTZV06) together, which assumingly have matching guide molding, one carved in and one bulging.

Part has been slightly changed by manufacturer and
Ordered part that was shown in diagram on wedsite. The part has changed slightly from original and will not fit. Called customer service told part not made the same way anymore and can't help or suggest what who I should talk to next. This is for a Kenmore Elite vacuum Model11621814411 serial number me3710359. My finger in the picture is pointing to the flange which has been added. Everything else is the same. Where the flange is now is where the old part broke. Expensive vacuum only a few years old and used only a few times a year. Disappointed in the product and disappointed in being told to buy a part that doesn't work and now not being able to get the part. Sears and Kenmore used to mean quality.

Kenmore canister vacuum cleaner repair.
This part was a little complicated to install but got it done. Problem was that the new part did not match-up precisely with other connecting parts. Required some "manipulation" which took extra time. But, vacuum runs well after re-assembly, so all is good. Our local Sears service is no longer in business, but would have taken this particular issue to them had that been possible.

Good thing I'm handy
Apparently someone noticed the flaw in the design of the original Nozzle holder that created the weak point that made it break. Since you did away with the grooves in the Nozzle Holder that the Rentent Clip slides in, and also weakens it, and replaced them with raised slides. Maybe it would have been nice to include the newly redesigned Rentent Clip that would have the grooves now. Instead, I would either have to wait another week for one before I could repair the vacuum. Or take it upon myself to use my Dremel tool, and remove the raised slides on the Rentent Clip, and put grooves in their place. Not very good for the average consumer!

Easy installation
Disassembling the vacuum cleaner's beater bar assembly was remarkably easy, as was the installation of the nozzle holder.
