Depending on the age of your model, the original may be out of production and this may not be an exact replacement. It just the closest thing that will work. I had to drill a new hole in the door to install it. The metal is soft so wasn't difficult to drill, but was difficult to get in the right spot. Measure twice... Also, the mounting screw holes in the hinge didn't come with threads so I had to make a bold leap and just start threading the screws in and hope for the best. Fortunately it worked out and I'm guessing that's how it's supposed to be. I'm giving it four stars because everything works well and in the end the average DIYer can install it. But there was no indication that modifications might be required or that this type of repair might be best left to a professional. It appeared to be a simple bolt on replacement, which for many of the models the manufacturer lists as ÒcompatibleÓ, but it isn't. The problem with my original hinge, as I assume is the most frequent issue, was a broken rivet in the moving part. I spent over $90 on the ÒreplacementÓ hinge plus expedited shipping. I'm now wondering if it wouldn't be cheaper and easier to just take the original hinge to a local machine shop and replace the rivet.
