Very easy to Install
After replacing our 1st broken Glass Stove Top it took myself and Husband 25 minutes to install. Installing it was very easy.

Looked easy to install on youtube!
I left a pot unattended on the stove top and it melted the aluminum cladding, and fused with glass top! When I tried to remove the metal, it took chunks of the glass with it. Quite brilliant! Luckily I found a replacement part that looked pretty easy to replace. However, that was not to be the case. In my unit, the top lifts up, but it is not attached with metal tabs in the back that allow it to slide out easily. Instead, there are two hinges, and each attached by two hard-to-access screwed. So I had to prop up the top and feel my way and after many tries, I was able to remove and replace the top. Also, there is a metal "lip" from the old unit that you need to keep. Other than a bit of perserverence, the top is great and looks even better than the original.

Replaced stove glass top
After finding the right video on YouTube, it was very easy to replace the stove top. The biggest challenge was that six of the screws required a square bit instead of Phillips or flat, but we happened to have one. I was glad to fix the stove rather than buy a new one. The only drawback was that whoever completed sealing the ceramic top to the framing left a distinct finger smudge in the sealant along the front edge. I imagine it will bother me less over time. Overall, it was a very easy job.
