I would buy this product again
Based on Sears parts direct information the dryer door switch I needed was no longer in production, but a similar part was compatible with my model. I purchased it, installed the new part fairly easily, and my dryer is working again!!!!

This is for an old Kenmore electric clothes dryer. It is about 35 years old. I bout it used sixteen years ago. Fifteen years ago had to have repairman for a three year old Amanda washing machine and he said it was the best dryer Sears made. Hooray for SEARS PARTSDIRECT! Just saved me either a service call or the cost of a new clothes dryer. Such a deal. The part came and You Tube video showed how easy it was to open the top and replace part. Don't use it unless it's raining, snowing or to remove lint left from Whirlpool HE washer. HE means not enough water is used and it's presumed everyone used a dryer. We do too, only ours is a solar clothes dryer. Free except for needing clothes pins now and then. So glad SEARS PARTSDIRECT still sells parts for old Kenmore workhorses.

Very easy to install.
Installation was simple. Remove two screws on back of dryer and lift top to access door switch. Remove two screws in door switch and replace with new switch. Note: tabs that hold down dryer top could break and need replacing also.
