Don't try this alone!
December 03, 2019

This review is for part 954-0430B or 754-0430B. I don't know which is replacement or which is original. DON'T DO THIS ALONE! You must dissemble the machine to get at the auger belts. There is NO other option. This isn't easy and I'm VERY handy. The key is to release the auger engagement wire at THE HANDLE underneath the control console. If you don't, you can't get the machine apart without damage. After installing the 2 new belts, you will need to pick up the auger unit while a 2nd person guides it onto the 6 bolts and ensures the belts don't come off the pulley. THIS ISN'T EASY. However, shop estimate was $275, IF everything else was ok. I would've junked the machine.

Easier than I thought it would be, after I watched
November 05, 2018

It took me about an hour, but that included pulling it out of the shed, changing the oil, siphoning out a little gas, oiling the chains and bar the transmission slides on, and pulling out my generator to run for a while too.

Yes, I've been meaning to take care of that rust. I bought the paint!
I unscrewed this to get the cable out to make it easier to get the spring off.
I removed the spring for the belt to come out of the pulley and I drew the belt up behind the bar so it would turn flat easier to roll under the wheel and out.
