Special details: In an electric dryer, if the timer advances in the timed dry cycle but not the automatic moisture sensing cycle, unplug the dryer and check continuity through the resistor using a multimeter. The resistor connects to the timer through the orange wire. Replace the resistor (part number 279872) if you measure infinite resistance. If the timer still doesn't advance in the moisture sensing cycle after replacing the resistor, replace timer WP3976577.

The hardest part was getting in behind the dryer to get at the timer and then to reattach the exhaust pipe.

Easy to install...
Everything went as planned after viewing the video on how to replace this part. I simply removed the back panel, took the timer out and replaced the wires as I took them off the old timer. And it works like a charm now....
