Dishwasher Drain Solenoid Assembly (replaces WD21X10071) WD21X10268

It was relatively easy installation but if anyone reads this be sure to check ur timer which caused drain solenoid to stay open too long. Otherwise new switch and drain solenoid and dishwasher back to functional!

My dishwasher stopped draining. It's working now thanks to the people who helped me determine what was wrong at Sears Parts Direct. I was worried it would be too hard to fix but it wasn't and now my dishwasher is draining again. The one thing that I figured out on my own was that the broken timer was the original cause of the problem but that was also easy to fix. The videos made it simple. Thank you so much. My wife thinks I'm a super hero!!!

The repair on our dishwasher was going to be nearly as much as buying a new one. The repairman told us we needed to replace the solenoid in order to get the timing mechanism and drain to operate again. So we ordered the solenoid from Sears Parts Direct to make the repair ourselves and realized that we should also probably have purchased the armature as well. Luckily, we were able to clean the old armature and use it with the new solenoid. Two weeks later and it's working just fine again.
