Using the OEM parts manual, I ordered the part. From the exploded view I could see just how to disassemble and reassemble the agitator/softener dispenser column. My previous repair damaged the nylon spring retainer by over torquing the bolt. Be careful to tighten the bolt only to snug. The rubber washer holds the assembly fine without over torquing.

Simple installation

The installation for this part is quite easy. The only tool needed is a ratchet with a short extension and a 7/16 socket. Start to finish the job took about 15 minutes.
