Worked As Advertised

Installed on my 19 year old Craftsman snow blower. Easy installation and great instructions for various engine configurations. Mine was plug n play.

Electric Starter Kit Installation

This Sears Craftsman two-stage, 9 HP, 26" swath, track-drive snow thrower is 25 years old. Upon activation of the electric starter, the starter shaft would spin, but its drive gear teeth were not engaging the teeth on the flywheel. When I replaced the starter, I could see that the old starter driveshaft gear teeth had worn too far down to engage. There are four mounting bolts for the starter, two upper and two lower. Had difficulty re-installing the lower right mounting bolt due to very tight clearance. Be careful screwing in the mounting bolts, as the bolt holes are in the cast aluminum engine base, and cast aluminum is soft.

Very easy to install

The starter kit was great, easy install, 20 minutes or less and it works great. Hope it lasts as long as the old one.
