Modification to Star pattern!
The Star pattern of 6 points was not compatible with the original. Therefore the purchase of new blades was an added expense. Shaft fits fine but I purchased replacement blades for 5 Star and had to return them and purchase 6 point which were difficult to find in the quality of my 5 point blades which were quite new.

Part fit perfect
The old shaft was hard to remove due to the mounting nuts, used two 15/16 wrenches, was hard so used pentrating oil to loosen the nut from the threads. It finally came off and the new Mandrel shaft went right in , no problems.

drive on shaft soft and sheared off
disassemble shaft housing swap out shafts and reassemble.
