Washer Water Inlet Valve Assembly 8565681

This manufacturer-approved water inlet valve assembly (part number 8565681) for Kenmore top-load washer model 11027062600 includes a thermistor to control water temperature and valves and solenoids for delivering hot water, cold water and fresh water. The solenoid in each valve allows water to enter the wash tub when it's energized by the electronic control board.

To remove the existing water inlet valve assembly, release the locking tabs and disconnect the wire connectors from the solenoid terminals and thermistor. Tape the washer lid closed and use a putty knife to press down and unhook the 2 locking tabs that hold the top panel onto the washer cabinet. The tabs are approximately 6-1/2 inches from the outside edge of the washer. Lift the top panel and loosen the clamps on the 4 hoses connected to the valve assembly. Detach the hoses, lower the top panel back down onto the cabinet and slide the power supply cord strain/relief out of the housing. Move the strain/relief away from the valve assembly and remove the 2 hex screws that secure the valve assembly to the washer.
