Remove the glass top!

I needed to remove the glass top from the old cover and then replace it on the new one. That was the hardest part. Otherwise, pretty easy to install.

It didn't take long to install but the shelf ledge should not have broken off in the first place. The plastic seems very fragile for this piece of a refrigerator that carries a lot of weight and open and closing of its drawer. As the refrigerator is so old this review is probably a moot point.

The plastic inserts and the refrigerator part itself were damaged, The plastic inserts had small cracks and one of the tabs designed to fit in the parent part were damaged. I strongly sugget you provide adequate quality control and inspection of parts before sending them out.
