Looks different from the old one

The old blade I am replacing is thinner and is sharp. This one is made of thicker metal and is totally dull, with the front perpendicular surface 1/16" wide. I called Maytag and asked for this part free of charge, since Maytag is advertising lifetime warranty on the chopper. I was told that the part # is not for the chopper, but for the chopper assembly and they need the part # for the chopper alone. And no, they cannot provide this number, I need to find it myself. What a cynicism!

not bad to install

The repair took months to complete because the second part (pump impeller) took 8 months to arrive. I finally re-assembled the unit by using the old impeller. It worked fine, the new Chopper had arrived months earlier.
