Replacing a broken door handle is straightforward
The replacement Whirlpool part went on a 23 year old Kenmore dryer. It almost fit, but was slightly too large lengthwise, and it needed shaving down some small plastic extrusions. The width was almost right, and can be made to fit with a little extra force on the attaching dog. When installed it almost looks correct, but doesn't quite agree with the depressed indentation where the original handle fit. But, it works.

Easy to install...solved the problem
This handle was easy to install...it just popped right in. I only gave it four stars due to the fact that it is not quite as big as the original thus exposing the dirty/rusty part of the door that was previously hidden. Another negative is that the handle falls out easily, so I will add a touch of super glue and re-install. Hope this helps.
