Do NOT Try to Install Yourself!!!

When I ordered the hose, I was told by the Sears customer service rep that it would be easy to install and that I'd be able to find an installation video online. Neither statement was true. I am a very handy and capable person who does home repairs frequently and this silly hose took me over 4 HOURS to attach to my Kenmore Elite 800 Series Canister Vacuum!! There were no instruction videos specific to installing this hose on my model of vacuum. All of the videos I found online were for significantly older models. It was also quite challenging to find a parts manual that showed me how to correctly disassemble and reassemble everything. There were multiple hidden screws and the handle was impossible to take apart without breaking some of the plastic clasps in the process.
