Part Information
Ice maker DA97-07938B includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid. It then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage bin is full.
Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the power is off and unplug the refrigerator when installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Samsung icemaker
Very easy to install. Just have to remove two screws and slide out-then push on small tab on wire harness to remove plug. Unfortunately this is my third icemaker. They do not last very long. When mine go bad it makes a grunting noise and wont eject the ice. I think the ejection motor or gears go bad.

Unfortunately these ice makers are mass produced and cheaply made, I have had to buy 3 in the past 2 years. As far as Sears goes they are very easy to work with and very fast shipping.

Easy to install.
Ice machine started making a knocking sound and then it stopped making ice. took a chance and replaced ice maker because it is inexpensive. worked out great. Praise God!

Simple installation
Installation was much easier than expected. Other reviewer outlined process perfectly. You have to fly a little blind to get the plug attached unless you take the freezer door completely out, but I was able to do it by only removing the top drawer from the freezer and contorting myself slightly. 1 plug and 2 screws is all it takes.

Easy to install
It was very easy to install. 2 screws in the front, it drops down, undo wiring harness plug, remove, reverse process, install new one, literally 5 minutes!
