Couldn't be simpler.
Simple. Can you change a lightbulb? Yeah, it's that easy. I have 2 shop vacs and replaced both filters at the same time. (They each take the same model.)

Fit perfectly
Previous filter was not the screw-on type and was a little difficult to pop off (and messy with dust). The new part included a nut to screw it on which will be easier when removing to clean or replace.

just screw on cap
After removing the old one which was not on the same, The new filter simply went on and you had to screw on a plastic cap with threads in it onto the post that may have a kind of thread.
