Shopvac filter
It is a sears shopvac filter. The filter replacement numbers were useless since the vac is over 20 years old, but the chat lady managed to find the right one which I ordered. I was happy about that, although the price was a bit steep.

Not the right filter
It was not the exact replacement. But, I made it work. The original filter has a large opening on both ends.

cartridge filter for shop vac
the filter fit fine we had no problem putting it in, but the foam sleeve that came with it did not fit at all

Sent wrong filter
Sear's sent the wrong part. They charged me $42.18 for the filter and shipping. When I returned the wrong filter they only reimbursed me $28.10. I think $14.04 is excessive for shipping and handling especially when it was the wrong filter and this doesn't show the time and trouble I had to go through to return the filter. Sear's ain't what they use to be!!!!!!!

It works, but it is not exactly the same as the one I've used for over 35 years. Yes, that is how long the vacuum has been regularly used.
