The hardest part is getting the unit off the wall

Once I had the cover off, I began the process of confirming the values of the Diode and Capacitor. Because both items tested 'out of range', I ordered up and replaced. The problem was not corrected, so I ordered up the Magnetron. The disassembly of the chasee until I could slip the old unit out was a matter of removing screws until I had the room to remove and install the new magnetron. I fired it up prior to installing the cover to confirm all was working well. When I installed the unit, I found it helpful to use a hydraulic jack under the front edge of the unit, so I could slowly and deliberately move the unit up into place.
