My mower seems to be turbocharged with this OEM Craftsman blade installed! I installed this original Craftsman blade to my nearly 20 year old Craftsman mower after having one of those gimmicky mulching blades with the wings on it for all of last season. The mower cut horribly with that thing on it and I thought the engine was worn out because even after a tune up it still seemed horribly underpowered. I installed the new Craftsman blade halfway through the lawn cutting last week and absolutely couldn't believe the difference!! WAY more power and the blade cuts perfectly and my lawn looked like a golf course fairway after I got done! It's that good and there was that much difference. Unbelievable! It goes to show, you're usually better off going with what the manufacturer designed for your machine. I'm ordering a second one to have on reserve. Very satisfied!
