After 5 years the controller module of our Kenmore Water Softener Model 625.383500 began to fail. Swapping out the failing controller with the replacement part was easily, but expensive.

Direct fit but is missing a few menus options. You'll see people complain about a black line across the display, they need to remove the protective sticker. This part solved my problem.

Received the control board on time. Installation was simple, straightforward with the directions provided. Following installation and initiation, there was a dark diagonal line on the display which was troubling and concerning - it did not affect the functioning of the water softener or use of the buttons. I was a bit concerned the visual cosmetic defect on display would be an indication of a larger underlying issue - it wasn't...I'll keep an eye on it. (hence my 4 star not 5 star rating)

Just what i needed

This was exactly what i needed. I was gonna have a tech come out to the house and he told me over the phone that this was most likely what i needed but because of the way the economy is right now they haven't been able to get parts for months and didnt know when or if they wouldand suggested i just by a new water softner. No thank you. By ordering this part and doing it myself i saved about $1000.
