Perfect fit
Not sure what the updated part really means, but this was a perfect fit to the mower shaft. Had to clean up the keyway on the shaft a little as the edges were damaged over time by the old adapter. Otherwise a completely simple replacement.

Direct replacement, but not the same
The distance from the internal shoulder to the top is the same as original, but the blade now sits 1/4 inch higher than stock.
