Almost a perfect fit

This vacuum hose swivel had different wiring than the original but the plastic parts were identical. Instead of trying to figure out how to rewire this I just swapped the wiring harness and tiny circuit board from the old to the new one. A hint on how to remove the old swivel neck is to use two butter knives to act as shims to allow the swivel retaining housing to slide off the plastic retaining clips. There is a spring that is part of the swivel assembly so you will need to preload that while when installing the part, Also take photos of the inner assembly after you get top housing cover off it will be easier to route the wires in the proper locations on reassembly. The height adjustment mechanism is held in to the assembly with molded in clips, you will need to push the height assembly toward the center to disengage it from outer clips and then you should be able pry it up to remove. After reassembled it worked great. Don't forget to clean the wooden brush roller removing all the stuff that gets wrapped around there. While everything is apart it's a great time to replace light bulbs and the belt. No YouTube videos on this part installation unfortunately at the time of writing this review unfortunately.
