This media pad (part number 6290) is for Kenmore evaporative cooler models 661.624720, 661.624920, 661.924921, 757.624300 and 758.624300.
Media pad 6290 holds water absorbed from the reservoir. As the fan blows air across the media pad, cooled and moistened air circulates into the room.

Easy Peasy.
Very easy to install. Maybe 10 minutes per side. I'm happy Sears Parts Direct stocks these pads for a 30 year old cooler.

The only one that works for me
This swamp cooler pad is the only one I can use, they are durable and long lasting if you take care of them. I bought a pair 7 years ago and I clean and take once a month and take them off the swamp cooler during the off season. The in install is easy and up front, took me about 20 minutes to install both pads. These need cleaning from time to time in order to make them last.

Wrong part-Impossible to Return!
Cooler pads took three weeks to arrive. When it finally did, it was the wrong part. I tried for two weeks to return, but all the Sears Customer Service website links were broken. And-the Sears customer service phone number is out of order. This rating should be Zero Stars. Worst customer service EVER.

Started out good, but.....
Out of the box it looked ok. It was definitely a lower quality then the original. It installed easily and the fit was good then came the but.... . Turned on the unit and it was looking good for a moment then the whole thing came to a halt. The mesh on the back of the filter is way too fine. Much smaller then the original. The mesh would catch on the nibs on the drive roller and not come off, causing the drive roller and mesh to bind up and drag everything to a stop. There is no way to correct this shot of changing the mesh. I will be returning them.
